Convenient Access
Sullivan County is located within a day’s drive of 70 percent of the U.S. population. It also features a first-class transportation infrastructure via air, highway or railway.
Air Transportation
Tri-Cities Regional Airport (TRI) offers non-stop service to Orlando, Fla., Tampa, Fla., Atlanta, Ga., Detroit, Mich., and Charlotte, N.C. The airport is serviced by Allegiant Air, Delta Air Lines, US Airways and American Airlines.
The airport’s Air Cargo Logistics Center, a Foreign Trade Zone designation, is a 13,000-square-foot facility featuring an industrial access road for tractor-trailer traffic. The Center offers direct municipal water, sewer, gas and electric utilities and includes a 35-acre development area capable of accommodating 220,000 square feet of direct aircraft access facilities and/or warehousing and distribution operations. The Center also provides full customs services and provides trade development assistance.
Highway Transportation
Sullivan County’s highway system includes two major interstates that intersect the Tri-Cities region – I-81 and I-26. I-40, I-77 and I-75 are all within a two-hour drive of Sullivan County.
Rail Transportation
The Tri-Cities region has both CSX and Norfolk Southern mainline railway access.
